Awesome April Major Festivals
Tin Pan South – March 28-April 1
Tin Pan South is the world’s largest songwriter festival. In 2016, more than 360 songwriters and acts performed at 92 shows in 10 different Music City venues over the course of 5 days. 2017 marks 25 years of this unique festival which gives fans an up-close-and-personal experience with the music they love. Nashville Fashion Week – April 4-8
Nashville Fashion Week is a celebration of Music City’s upcoming fashion and retail community. Each night offers a must attend event with industry panels, parties, workshops, really good looking people, and a lot more. Mark your calendar for April and be here for all the fun. Find out more.
Cherry Blossom Festival – April 8
In 2009, Nashville made it a goal to plant 1,000 cherry trees within 10 years. Each year, during the spring, we celebrate those cherry trees and the friendship between Japan and America with an annual festival. It kicks off with a Cherry Blossom Walk at 9am, followed by festivities at Public Square Park that include demonstrations and exhibits of Japanese culture, the Ginza Marketplace with Japanese products, Taste of Japan with food from local Japanese restaurants, youthful Japanese culture, live entertainment, and much more. Wild West Comedy Festival – April 17-23
Experience Nashville with a laugh. The fourth annual Wild West Comedy Festival, featuring some of the funniest comedians in the world, takes place in the city of Nashville April 17-23. This year’s lineup includes Adam Sandler & friends, Patton Oswalt, Judd Apatow, Larry The Cable Guy, and more. Have a laugh.
Nashville Film Festival – April 20-29
The Nashville Film Festival is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country. Each year, guests come to view more than 254 films from 55 countries. Festival-goers enjoy a plethora of works from documentaries and narrative features to animated and experimental shorts. Rites of Spring – April 21-22
Each year, Vanderbilt University showcases a weekend full of live music from a wide range of genres during Rites of Spring. This event is not limited to students; everyone is welcome to join in the fun. This year’s lineup includes The Shins, Rae Sremmurd, St. Lucia, and more. See the full lineup.
St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon – April 27 & 29-30
In April, more than 30,000 runners, walkers, wheelchairs, and spectators attempt the annual St. Jude Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon through the streets of Music City lined with 28 stages as live bands perform the soundtrack of the day. Check out the full details.
