318. A Look Inside: Peter Nappi

Recently, we had the privilege of touring Peter Nappi, Nashville maker Phillip Nappi’s stunning leather footwear and goods showroom located in historic Germantown. Phillip Nappi established the company in 2011 and named it after his late grandfather. Prior to opening, Nappi moved his wife and young daughter to Italy for a few years, so he could learn the art of shoemaking. Fun fact: He had no idea his grandfather (whom he had never met) was also in the shoemaking business until he arrived in Italy. All his products are designed in Nashville, handmade in Tuscany, and built to age beautifully with time. The Nashville showroom, a former meatpacking warehouse, is a work of art itself, complete with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and a bar where guests can enjoy a cocktail while they shop around. Check out peternappi.com for some serious shoe envy. Or, better yet, visit the shop to experience it for yourself!
