125. Four Events Still ON SALE for #NashvilleNOW

There are only four events that have not sold out for Southern Living’s 50th anniversary celebration, #NashvilleNOW, taking place this Labor Day Weekend. Just for you, we have displayed them all below with some information and a way for you to purchase tickets. Join the celebration!

Hot Chicken & Craft Beer Tasting
September 3

Are you ready for a taste that’s uniquely Nashville? Curious about the history of hot chicken and Nashville’s craft brew scene? Then this event is for you! We have paired notable Nashville hot chicken restaurants with some of the top local craft breweries for a culinary experience you can only find in Music City. Set your taste buds ablaze with hot chicken tastings from Prince’s Hot Chicken, Party Fowl, Scoreboard Bar & Grill, Acme Feed & Seed and Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. Wash it down with beer samples from Tennessee Brew Works, Jackalope Brewing Company, Mantra Artisan Ales, TailGate Beer, and Fat Bottom Brewing Co. At Whiskey Bent Saloon, Southern Living Editor-in-Chief Sid Evans will host a panel on Nashville’s hot chicken and craft beer scene. André Jeffries of Prince’s Hot Chicken will be on hand to discuss the origins of hot chicken and Christian Spears of Tennessee Brew Works will talk about the special brew created for Southern Living’s 50th Anniversary.

Dinner at Martin’s BBQ
September 3

Spend the evening enjoying the tastes of one of Nashville’s most beloved pit masters, Pat Martin, as he prepares his signature whole hog BBQ. Among other accolades, Martin is one of the few barbecue aficionados who has been invited to cook at the esteemed James Beard House in New York. Joining in the evening fun will be Southern Living editors and country music star Kix Brooks, of Brooks & Dunn, who will be on hand to sign his new book “Cookin’ It With Kix: The Art of Celebrating and Fun of Outdoor Cooking.” Guests will also be treated to live music by The Joe West Crew, playing the music of Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Paul Simon, The Eagles, Bill Withers, Nat King Cole, Merle Haggard, Bread, and many others.

Chef & Editor Drop-In Brunch
September 4

Spend time mingling with Southern Living editors at one of their favorite Nashville spots, Pinewood Social (also named to Southern Living’s 100 Best Restaurants in the South). Grab a plate and taste a little bit of everything with stops at the Biscuit Station, Broken Yolk Taco Action Station, Fruit Bar, and Raw Bar. You know there will be cocktails and music, too. This is a Music City brunch, after all.

Monday Blues Brunch
September 5

Wrap up the 50th Anniversary celebration with Southern Living Editors at ACME Feed & Seed. Enjoy buffet brunch and bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas, and champagne. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Music City send-off without live music from Nashville’s own Striking Matches. Known for playing music at that sweet spot intersection of country, rock, and blues, the duo has had songs including “When the Right One Comes Along” and “Hanging on a Lie” featured on the “Nashville” TV show. After a morning of amazing Music City food and live music, you’ll head home ready to plan your next visit to Nashville.
