Let us tell you about one of the best kept secrets for a local in Nashville: the Nashville Public Library card. This little beauty can save a person $2,951 a year. By using a Nashville Public Library card you have access to books, ebooks, audio books, movies, and events (more on the events later) for FREE. It only takes a few moments to sign up for a library card (sign up here) and BOOM, it’s like the world is at your finger tips. We highly recommend each and every person signs up for this great opportunity. It’s there – take advantage of it!
Now, it’s time to talk about the events. On a regular basis the Nashville Public Library hosts amazing events including everything from author talks to puppet shows (check out their calendar). Speaking of puppet shows, did you know the Nashville Public Library is hosting the upcoming Nashville International Puppet Festival June 17-19? It’s three days of 4 puppet troupes from 6 different countries celebrating their skills in Music City. They will even have a puppet parade, June 18, starting at War Memorial Plaza and heading down Capitol Blvd where they will stop frequently for short performances. This unique Music City festival has been going on for years and something each local, and visitor, should take advantage of. Hope to see you there!
