Deep traditional soul food cooking needs a festival of its own. And that’s exactly what the Soul Food Fest sets out to do. For nine years they have brought families and friends together for a day of fun with great food and live music. This year is no exception as they are bringing you THREE days worth of fun. Friday, July 31, The Platform will host The Soul Food Comedy Jam with Chris Thoas, TP Hearn, Shuck Ducky, and live music by Rick James Stone City Band. The following day, on August 1, enjoy ribs, catfish, corn on the cob, burgers, baked beans, collard greens, chicken, pie, and other soul food items while listening to funky tunes from Cameo, Dru Hill, Avery Sunshine, The Ohio Players, and more during Soul Food Fest at Nissan Stadium. THEN, on August 2 head back to The Platform for Sunday Serenade that will have live performances from Norman Conners and the Starship Orchestra, Jean Carne, Tom Brown, and others. Do you think you can handle that much fun?
