Memorial Day Activities – May 21-26
Plenty of ways to celebrate Memorial Day in Music City. Head to any of the memorials or historic attractions to honor our heroes, catch a concert, see a new new exhibit, or have fun with family. For a complete list of fun check out: visitmusiccity.com/memorialday. And don’t forget to see which historical attractions are offering free admission to active and retired military personnel.

Crawfish Boil in the Taproom – May 24
Jackalope Brewing Company has teamed up with Sehrt Seafood for a Crawfish Boil. Head to this event and enjoy live music, boiled Louisiana crawfish, games, and more.

Identity: An Exhibition of You – May 23
This weekend go to Adventure Science Center for the grand opening of their latest exhibit, Identity: An Exhibition of You, that explores the physical, psychological and social elements in your life that make you tick. They will have fin activities from 10am-3pm that will entertain children of all ages.

Jaume Plensa: Human Landscape – Opening Day – May 22
TODAY, Jaume Plensa: Human Landscape will open at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art. The new exhibit features outdoor and indoor installations including sculptures imagined specifically for Cheekwood’s grounds. In addition, The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, in partnership with Cheekwood, will have on display four of the artist’s sculptures near the entrance for visitors to view. This is definitely something you want to add yout to-do list this summer in Nashville.

Luke Bryan: Dirt Road Diary – Opening Day – May 22
Opening day for the Country Music Hall of Fame’s latest exhibit, Luke Bryan: Dirt Road Diary, will be May 22. With this new exhibit visitors can discover the life of CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year from his roots in south Georgia to his move to Nashville, where he initially saw success as a hit songwriter for other artists before become on of the new century’s country superstars.

Mardi Gras in May – May 24
This weekend, Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar will host Mardi Gras in May featuring crawfish boil, drink specials, beads, games, prizes, and live music from Stacy Mitchhart Band, Delicious Blues Stew, and the Al Holbrook Band. It’s completely FREE. You just have to pay for food and beverages.

MAYDAY – May 22-25
One of Nashville’s newest venues is The Basement East. This weekend they will host their inaugural MAYDAY festival with an outstanding lineup that includes Fly Golden Eagle, Caitlin Rose, Sol Cat, and a LOT more.

Music City Blues Spring Festival – May 25
The Bluz Queen herself, Claudette King, daughter of B.B. King, will celebrate her fathers legacy this weekend during the Music City Blue Spring Festival. The event starts at 10am and is completely FREE to all.

Nashville Flea Market: Thrift Emporium – May 22-24
This weekend the Nashville Flea Market: Thrift Emporium will be open for those looking for their next wardrobe, unique household item, or piece of furniture.

Zzzoofari Slumber – May 23-24
Families will love to take part in Zzzoofari Slumber at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. You can experience an overnight camp session with a variety of activities that include hayrides, inflatables, an animal show, and more.
