Today we ask you to enjoy some visual art, and also some culinary art. The Frist Center for The Visual Arts offers an ever-changing schedule of exhibitions from local, regional, national and international sources. Currently, guests can view American Ballads: The Photographs of Marty Stuart, which shows the range of talents of singer-songwriter Marty Stuart. The exhibit will last from now until November 2. Also, from September 26-January 4 The Frist will offer Kandinsky: A Retrospective which displays the art of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Wassily Kandinsky.
In addition to hosting great art, The Frist also serves culinary art inside their Frist Center Café. The Café’s Chicken Salad Sandwich is a work of inspired abstract expressionism – featuring a delightful medley of diced white meat chicken, dried apricots, sunflower seeds, Craisins, celery, champagne vinegar, parsley, and mayo on a croissant. All sandwiches served with a choice of homemade seasoned potato chips, side house salad or cup of fresh fruit. This meal gives you that perfect energy boost so you can view some fantastic art all day!
