It’s here, people. The annual music festival that takes over downtown Nashville every summer. CMA Music Festival, June 6-9, 2013, is the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience. Truly. All the biggest stars in country music play the Nightly Concerts at LP Field. Those concerts are ticketed, and they happen to be sold out. But artists like Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Hunter Hayes, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Carrie Underwood are playing those stadium shows. The other ticketed part of CMA Fest is Fan Fair X at Music City Center. This is where you meet the artists, shake their hands, take pictures with them, and get them to sign things. There’s a stage there for live music, there are exhibitors so you can pick up some cool stuff, too. The rest of CMA Fest, is free. That’s right – free. There are 6 outdoor stages playing free live music each day of the festival. Some with today’s big stars and some with tomorrow’s. And if you want to get out of the heat, you can even get some free live music inside the Nashville Visitor Center at Bridgestone Arena. Live music plays there through Saturday. CMA Fest is not just for 4-day pass holders. Oh, no. Anyone can enjoy the energy of this annual event. And the energy is up, my friends (as if downtown ever really needs an energy boost). It’s fun. Whether you live here or visit here, it’s a great time to get in the middle and enjoy.
