105.3. Music City Hot Chicken Festival

Philadelphia’s known for cheesesteaks, New Orleans for beignets, San Francisco for sourdough, and the spiciest (in so many ways ) of them all – Nashville is known for hot chicken. And so we have the Music City Hot Chicken Festival. Held every year on the 4th of July, the festival celebrates hot chicken, those that make it, and those that eat it. Local restaurants will be on site selling their rendition of the Music City staple. There’s an amateur cooking competition, too. And inflatables for the kiddos. The first 500 people through the gate get free hot chicken samples from Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, 400 Degrees, Hattie B’s, Pepperfire, Smack Your Mama Chicken, and Bolton’s Spicy Chicken & Fish. The party goes 11am-3pm at East Park so you have plenty of time to eat before you head across the river to the big Music City July 4th party at The Lawn at Riverfront Park! http://www.visitmusiccity.com/july4th/

CANNOT WAIT!!! And no matter how much you think you can take it, you can’t. I eat my Thai food native and cannot eat the hardcore hot chicken.
