If you live in Nashville or have driven the streets as of late, you may have noticed the increased number of runners out there. They are gearing up for the Country Music Marathon or 1/2 Marathon on April 27, 2013. The race starts at Centennial Park, winds its way through Music City, and ends at LP Field. Along the route, live bands play every kind of music – rock, country, jazz, blues, classic, punk, and more. Provides a little auditory pep for runners, walkers, wheelchair racers, and spectators. And whether you make the full 26.2, the 13.1, or maybe even a fraction of either of those, there’s a big Post-Race concert that night at Municipal Auditorium to shake off those cramps. Craig Morgan headlines this year’s concert with special guest Sarah Darling. So, the race & the music start that Saturday morning at 7am, they continue through the day until the end of the marathon, and then the music comes back that night at 7pm and goes until they want it to stop. It truly is a music marathon in Nashville.
