356. Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival

Tin Pan South is an annual songwriters festival in Nashville. This year’s fest is April 2-6, 2013. Hundreds of songwriters and fans descend upon Music City for 5 days of music at nine venues throughout town. Fast-Access Passes are now available. And a great idea. The venues are not really that huge. And if you have a Fast-Access Pass, you get in a special Fast Access Line at the venue. And they let those people in based on a first-come, first-served basis. If there’s any room left in the venue, they let in people in the Cash Line (people without the Fast-Access Passes and going show-by-show). But that’s ONLY if there’s room left. Shows fill up and sell out quickly. They’ve released their initial schedule. The biggest songwriters in the world will be performing in Nashville that week. They’ve written some of the biggest songs in the world. The ones you have playing in your car, on your radio, and on your iPod. Tin Pan South is where you get to hear those songs coming out of the beings of the people that actually wrote them. It’s truly a very cool experience. And truly a very Nashville experience. So many of these songwriters don’t have to travel at all! They already live here!
