Holly Williams is the daughter of Hank Williams, Jr. And that also makes her the granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. She’s country music royalty. Or history, in the flesh – or genes. She’s a singer/songwriter (this is where the genes come in) AND she owns a super stylish boutique in Nashville. So, she recently talked with WhoWhatWear about her favorite Nashville hotspots. And we just love what she said about the Ryman. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll get chills reading this – just like we did. If you haven’t been there – get on it, man.
3. Ryman Auditorium
“If you have a chance to hear music in this historic venue it will be the greatest gift you’ve ever given to your ears. I have seen everyone from Sigur Ros to Coldplay to Gillian Welch to Neil Young here, and it is also my personal favorite venue to play in Nashville. The old church pews are dripping with character, the acoustics are perfection, and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. All I can think about when I’m there is my grandpa standing on that stage and blowing people away in 1949.”
