346. Bonnaroo 2013

For the first time in a very long time, CMA Fest and Bonnaroo are on different weekends! Yay for Nashville residents! Yay for music fans that want to go to both! Bonnaroo will be held, just down the road from Nashville in Manchester, TN, June 13-16. They announced their lineup this week. It’s big. It’s Bonnaroo. Of course it’s big. Just a sampling: Paul McCartney. Mumford & Sons. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Bjork. Wu-Tang Clan. Yes, Wu-Tang Clan. The National. David Byrne & St. Vincent. ZZ Top. Yeah, that’s right: ZZ Top. Jim James, “Weird Al” Yankovic, The Gaslight Anthem, Dwight Yoakam, Sam Bush & Del McCoury, Wilco, Passion Pit, Nas, Grizzly Bear, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Divine Fits, and – wait for it – Billy Idol. Uh huh. There are many more acts than that. But I had to entice you. I think we covered every genre and every age group there, right? And it’s kind of cool how many are from Nashville, record in Nashville, and have played here recently or are playing here soon. And at Bonnaroo, you can see them all just a short drive down the interstate. But I digress.
TICKETS GO ON SALE TODAY. AT 11AM. CENTRAL TIME.
