Each year, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum partners with Ford Motor Company Fund to say thank you. And how do they say thank you? With FREE admission! That’s right. This Saturday, February 23, from 9am to 5pm, you can visit the Country Music Hall of Fame for free. So, if you’ve never been – you must go tomorrow. If you have been – you must go tomorrow. They have some great exhibits going on right now highlighting The Bakersfield Sound (Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, etc. ) and Patsy Cline. Both very cool exhibits. But beyond the music exhibits, they’re doing some special events tomorrow, too. A fiddle and banjo demonstration, songwriter session, letterpress demonstration with Hatch Show Print, performance and signing with Josh Turner, Poets & Prophets program with Red Simpson, performance and signing with Lauren Alaina, and a musical petting zoo (pretty much what you think it is). AND Ford drivers that can show their Ford key get 10% off at the Museum Store and Two Twenty-Two Grill and they get 30% off membership to the Museum! Seriously. Drop your other plans for the weekend. Go to the Hall of Fame. Regardless of your preferred music genre, you will be surprised (and a better person) to learn how deep today’s music is rooted and influenced by country music. It’s a very cool place.
