The man behind the man in black. And Elvis’ gold lamé suit. And Bob Dylan’s duds when performed for the Pope. It’s the Rhinestone Rembrandt: Manuel. He’s wardrobed more than 90 movies and 13 TV shows. He’s made and designed for the Rat Pack, Porter Wagoner, Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Gram Parsons, Faith Hill, Marilyn Monroe, Kid Rock, five American presidents and countless others. You might recognize his impeccable embroidery and sparkly rhinestones and sequins. Manuel’s created such a mark on the life of music and Music City, he was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in November 2011. He lives and works every day in Nashville. In Midtown Nashville. His studio & shop is on the corner of 20th and Broadway (you can see the Manuel logo on the building). It’s open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and on weekends by appointment. Every garment is made in-house and by hand. And everything in the retail showroom is available for purchase. But if you want something specific, he does a LOT of custom work. After all, the man says “I can make you anything you want. The sky is the limit!”
