Looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve but don’t want to spend a lot of money? Or get stuck without a sober ride? Or can’t decide the kind of music you want to listen to? Nashville’s awesomely awesome (I mean that in both ways) New Year’s Eve street party is perfect. It’s free. There are three sober ride options available on site throughout the night. And the music spans genres – Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jeffrey Steele, Edens Edge and THE FARM. AND there’s fireworks. AND confetti. AND thousands of other people looking to have a great time. The music starts at 7pm. At midnight, they’re dropping a 15-foot-tall red music note from 115 feet to mark the start of the new year. The event is so good, CNN is showing it. It’s a total blast. And it’s totally free. A great way to start the new year. I hear they’re doing some kind of picture toast where everybody takes a picture at the same time to post to Facebook. Think Waldo will be there?
