If you’ve ever wanted to know what 2 million pounds of ice looks like or if you’ve always wanted to slip down a 20-foot ice slide, or if you just really love ice sculptures, you should check out ICE! at Gaylord Opryland Resort. It’s an ice exhibit. 40 ice artisans from Harbin China have taken 2 million pounds of ice and transformed it into a 40,000-square-foot world where Santa has crashed his sleigh onto the island of Madagascar (from the DreamWorks movie). You’ll see characters from the movie, Santa, reindeer and 20-foot-tall ice slides. I don’t care if you’re 5 or 55 – an ice slide is fun. It’s really very cool (get it?) and impressive and something that anyone in Nashville should check out during the holidays.
