A Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland is truly a Nashville tradition – for 28 years! It seems like it gets bigger every year. You can see the Rockettes at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show, have dinner at Louise Mandrell’s Christmas Dinner Party, shop the Treasures for the Holidays craft show, take a Photo with Santa, go on a Carriage Ride, see the Outdoor Nativity Display, explore the Hall of Trees and see what 2 million lights looks like. And new this year – characters from “Shrek,” “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda”! ICE! is a wonderland of 2 MILLION pounds of ice made into sculptures from “Madagascar” and 20-foot-tall ice slides. Holiday Shrektacular is a holiday street party with the characters. And Gingy’s Gingerbread Decorating lets you decorate a gingerbread family or a gingerbread house. There really is a LOT to do. Some things are ticketed but even just walking around the hotel to look at decorations is a must. Just know there’s an $18 parking fee before you go.
