The Nashville Jazz Workshop is a kind of musical community center. They offer classes, have concerts, host art shows and other special events. It’s a huge supporter and instigator of the local jazz community. Classes are offered for different levels of musicianship from introductory to advanced. You could be playing professionally or have never picked up an instrument. There are classes for instrumentalist and vocalists of all ranges. And there are even classes for people just interested in listening to jazz, or learning about the history or a specific performer. They have 2 concerts each month, called Snap On 2 & 4, on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. And they do a jam session on the 3rd Sunday every month. Overall, the Jazz Workshop is a very cool, very moody (in a good way), very good place in and for Nashville.
