147.2. The Winery at Belle Meade Plantation


Historic home and former Thoroughbred racing and breeding farm Belle Meade Plantation opened a winery in November 2009. Belle Meade wines include a Carriage House White, Red Muscadine, Bramble Blush, Blackberry, Racing Silk Red, Something in Red and Iroquois Red. Tastings are offered daily in the new Wine Tasting Room at the Plantation. Tour the mansion. Visit the winery. Feel the two centuries of hospitality.

Monday-Saturday 11am-4:30pm; Sunday 12-4:30pm.

  1. I took their tour and wine tasting, and loved it. The wines are fresh, crisp, and worth every penny–when I was there in May, they were all $19.50/bottle. The muscadine is the best, even over the other local muscadine wines I’ve tried.
