First made popular in the US in Northern cities like Minneapolis and Milwaukee, a pedal tavern is a “new twist on the old fashion pub crawl.” With room for up to 16 people per tavern, the Pedal Tavern is man-powered with 10 sets of bicycle pedals that move the tavern to each destination. Though city laws currently prohibit the distribution on alcohol on the tavern, other food and drinks are permitted. There’s also a iPod dock and speakers so that peddlers may rock out while they travel. The Pedal tavern runs all week at various times and prices ($340-$400 a tour).
