88.2. Printers Alley

One of Nashville’s best kept secrets is Printers Alley located between 3rd and 4th Avenues and stretches from Union Street to Church Street. The Alley’s history begins with and ultimately gained its name from the printing and publishing companies that were housed in the area. In the late 1800s, this area was known as the “Men’s Quarter” as bars, saloons, speakeasies and gambling halls opened to cater to the men that worked in the print shops. Printers Alley is home to some awesome clubs and bars such as Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar, Fiddle and Steel Guitar Bar and my favorite, Lonnie’s Western Room.
