A perfect event to kick off the summer is Opera on the Mountain. The Nashville Opera will serenade you as you gaze at the stars on the hill next to Dyer Observatory. Pieces from Camelot, My Fair Lady, Annie Get Your Gun, the Marriage of Figaro and more will be performed at this June 4th event. The gates open at 5:30pm and visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for easier stargazing. Tickets are $30 for lawn/picnic pass and $50 for a reserved table seat. Afterwards, you can even view the stars through the Seyfert Telescope (weather permitting).
