30.2. Frist Center Celebrates 10th Birthday

Our beloved Frist Center will be turning 10 years old this week! Happy Birthday! To celebrate the occasion, the Frist will be offering not one but two free days this Friday and Saturday (April 8-9). In addition to the free admission, there will also be several special activities on the days including live music and art-making opportunities. You can help make a collage of memories, find your inner sculptor and help remake the Carving the Carousel project from 2004, create a “tile” to be placed in a mural of the Frist Center and more.

The current exhibits at the Frist are Vishnu: Hinduism’s Blue-Skinned Savior; William Eggleston: Anointing the Overlooked; Simen Johan: Until the Kingdom Comes; Hindu Home Shrines and Young Tennessee Artists.
