For the past few years, Mercy Lounge and BMI hold a contest in which 3 Nashville bands compete to get to play at Bonnaroo. There are three dates and a winner from each night. The winner is determined by the audience and by an industry panel (50/50 split). This year’s performances are February 28, March 21 and April 18. Each night there are 8 bands and they perform a 3-song setlist. Admission is free and the performances start at 9pm.
