354. Egyptian Exhibit at TN State Museum


The Tennessee State Museum welcomes an amazing new exhibit on Sunday, February 27th called Egyptian Relics, Replicas & Revivals: Treasures from Tutankhamun. The exhibit will have three parts focusing on the art, history and culture of ancient Egypt as well as its influence on Tennessee. You’ll learn all about ancient Egypt’s geography, religion, hieroglyphics, architecture and the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s treasures. Admission is free and the exhibit will be displayed from February 27 through September 4, 2011.

    You really must go and bring the children. Egypt is where History began. Wonderful book by Paul Johnson called Egypt, a must read for this exhibit. Thank you to all those who lent items and treasures!
