This honky tonk is one of Nashville’s most historic venues. It’s a small place on Broadway that backs up to the alley next to the Ryman Auditorium. Many stories have been told about how the Ryman performers would sit at Tootsie’s and have a drink before walking across the alley and to the Ryman stage to perform. Famous customers included Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline and more. Performers like Kenney Chesney, Kid Rock and Dierks Bentley often randomly do shows at Tootsie’s too. There are two stages, one upstairs and one down. There is live music all day long and night and drink prices are pretty fair.
