Dance the night away at Metro Parks’ 26th Annual Summer of Big Band Dances. Held at the Band Chelter at Centennial Park, the dances are held every Saturday all summer (June 6 through August 29) from 7 to 10pm. They’re completely free and a ton of fun, even if you don’t know how to dance. There will be amateur swing dance competitions and free ballroom dance lessons sponsored by Dance world from 7-7:30pm and 8:30-8:50pm.
There will be food and drinks available for purchase at the Centennial Café. You may bring blankets and chairs and sit on the lawn and enjoy all the fun as well.
