This year, the city of Nashville is bringing a full weekend of free music and fireworks to celebrate our nation’s 234th birthday. Here’s the rundown on what’s going on:
Friday, July 2nd
The General Jackson Showboat is celebrating its 25th Anniversary by having a free concert at Riverfront Park. Chuck Wicks will perform, followed by a free fireworks show. There will also be $8 cruise excursions starting at 1:30pm.
Saturday, July 3rd
Julianne Hough is holding a free concert at Riverfront Park at 8pm. There will also be food, drinks and activities starting at 12pm. Fireworks will follow after the concert.
Sunday, July 4th
Let Freedom Sing! The gates open at noon for an amazing day of free fun. There will be food, drinks, a family fun zone with activities great for the kids and of course, live music concerts all day. Performers this year include Trace Adkins, Julianne Hough, Jaci Velasquez and ton more. The Nashville Symphony will play soundtrack to the best fireworks shows in the South.
