Opened in 2001, the Downtown Public Library is a huge neoclassical building with beautiful marble floors, high ceilings and special art exhibits displayed regularly. There is a peaceful courtyard to enjoy a meal or a great book. There are lectures, discussions, storytimes for kids and more scheduled throughout the year as well, so make sure to check out their events pages here.
