If you’ve been anywhere near downtown, you’ll know something is going on. That something is CMA Music Festival where concerts will be held at Public Square Park, Riverfront Park and LP Field (general admission, single night tickets are still available).
This festival runs from June 9-13 and there is more than just music. Here’s a little taste of all that’s going on this weekend with the festival:
- June 9 – 11:30am : CMA Music Festival Annual Kick-Off Parade
- June 9 – 7pm : CMT Music Awards at Bridgestone Arena
- June 10-13 : Fan Fair Hall at the Nashville Convention Center
- June 10-13 : Family Zone at Walk of Fame Park
- June 10-13 : Fun Zone on Broadway
- June 10-13 : Sports Zone at Schermerhorn Symphony Center Parking lot
- June 11-12 – 11:30am to 5pm : ABC Summer Block Party at Walk of Fame Park
- June 11-13 – FREE Music City Zone at Public Square Park
- June 12 – 7:30am : St. Jude Music Fest Road Race at Public Square Park
- June 13 – 2:30pm : Sunday Mornin’ Country honoring Roy Clark at TPAC
Here are also some road closures to help you maneuver around and in downtown:
Closed from 11am-2pm only on Wednesday, June 9 for opening day parade:
- First Avenue from Church to Union Streets
- Church Street from First to Third Avenues
- Second Avenue from Demonbreun to Union Streets
- Broadway from Third to Seventh Avenues
- Sixth Avenue from Broadway to Demonbreun
Closed from Wednesday, June 9 to early the morning of Monday, June 14:
- Closing at 8am: Fifth Avenue from Demonbreun to Broadway
- Closing at 9am: Broadway from First to Second Avenues
- Closing at 9am: First Avenue from Demonbreun to Church Streets
- Closing at 12pm: Broadway from Second to Fourth Avenues
Second and Third Avenues will remain open, but you won’t be able to turn on Broadway.
