96. Tennessee Renaissance Festival

With the long weekend (for most of us) coming up, you might be looking for something to do if you are not already heading to the lake or river. The Tennessee Renaissance Festival is in the final weekend and is open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Travel back to 16th century England just south of town between Franklin and Murfreesboro. The Village of Covington Glen becomes a Renaissance Marketplace with skilled artisans from all over the country displaying their wares from silks, swords, gems, and jewels. Renaissance inspired musicians will be there while you taste the specialty foods and drinks.

There will be many games of skill including archery, test of strength, hurlinator, catapulting, ax, and much more.

This weekend is the International Jousting Tournament where competitors compete in Full Armored Contact Jousting. The competition is Saturday and Sunday, with the finals being held on Monday.
