Dale Chihuly and his absolutely amazing handblown glasswork have invaded Nashville. Today is the opening day for Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art’s indoor and outdoor installations. This includes beautiful chandeliers, the 30-foot Saffron Tower, a garden of glass called Mille Fiori and more.
Cheekwood is also staying open late for Chihuly Nights, where the grounds will be specially lit and each Chihuly installation will be illuminated for a stunning nighttime experience. The installations will be on display through October 31.
His innovative works such as Venetians, Ikebana, Macchia, Seaforms and the acclaimed documentary Chihuly in the Hotshop can be seen at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts through January 2nd.
