58. Loveless Cafe

The Loveless Cafe has been a favorite in Nashville since the early 1950s. One lady who made Loveless such a special place was Carol Fay (nickname “the Biscuit Lady”). A true Nashville legend, she made locals and visitors smile everyday all while preparing great food. Along the way she taught southern cooking to the world on the Today Show, Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, and much more. You will be missed Carol Fay.

Loveless Cafe is Southern dining at its best. They serve breakfast and supper. The menu is complete with country ham, eggs, red-eye gravy, sausage, bacon, and omelets for breakfast. For supper they serve fried chicken, catfish, meatloaf and more. All ingredients used at Loveless come from Tennessee farms when available. They go out of their way to support local companies and nothing tastes as good as food made from scratch.

The place gets crowded for a reason. I would not go there if you are in a hurry as the wait can be between 45 minutes to and hour+. Just grab a cup of coffee, sit on one of the rocking chairs, and relax. Visit with the everyone else that is waiting, you never know who you might run into.

And do not forget to grab some biscuits and jam.
