A true hidden Nashville gem, Dozen, is a bakery located at the Nashville Farmer’s Market on Fridays and Saturdays between 9am and 3pm.
Claire Meneely was born and raised in Nashville before heading to California for culinary school. After a stop in Paris, France to continue baking she is bringing her skills back to the growing artisan movement in Nashville. Claire uses the best ingredients she can find. All of the ingredients are from a local producer where available, or made with organic practices.
She says a big reason for coming back to Nashville was “I also like having a business in Nashville because of the support I receive from the local community. I’ve been surprised to see how many customers appreciate that I’ve come back to Nashville, and want to support me because of that. I like the pride that people take in being from Nashville”.
All of the desserts are fresh. My favorites were the Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie, Linzer Cookies, and Ginger Cookies.
Head down to the Farmer’s Market to try some of the best desserts in Nashville.
