30. The Pie Wagon

The Pie Wagon is one of the traditional meat and three that you see around town. However, this one is rich in tradition as it has been serving people in Nashville since 1922. The restaurant originally opened in a trolley behind what is now the Frist Center (it used to be the main post office). The name was changed to The Majestic Cafe and then back to the original name.

They have been nicknamed the “Music Row Commissary” because of their proximity to Music Row and the amount of singers and songwriters that pass through their doors on any given day.

Do not miss the famous Hot Chicken and Fried Catfish.

The location has changed many times over the years but the tradition is still there at The Pie Wagon.
